Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Learning to Fight Mental Stressors

Partners with O2X Human Performance for seminar on overall wellness in the workplace

Loudoun County, VA – Beginning May 17th – May 20th, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office will host a four-day physical wellness and resilience training seminar. Law enforcement personnel from Loudoun County will participate in this event with a special focus on agility and mental durability in an effort to promote career longevity.

Law enforcement officers and other first responders face extraordinary challenges daily, leading to compounding stress over a 20+ year career. During the seminar, participants will learn ways to manage the chronic stress that comes along with a career in public safety. This training will help attendees mitigate the impact of mental strain that can lead to behavioral health issues, fatigue, and burnout.

The event will be led by O2X Human Performance, a training and education company founded by former Navy SEALs, that works with firefighters, law enforcement officers, federal agencies, and the military nationwide.

“The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is focused on enhancing the mental and physical health of our staff, helping them at all levels to better serve our residents and provide the needed assistance to members of our community,’ said Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman.

“We’re excited to continue our program with first responders and law enforcement across Loudoun County,” said Adam La Reau, Co-founder at O2X Human Performance. “When those serving in public safety step onto the job, they are signing up for a long and stressful career. It’s critical they learn techniques to manage that stress in healthy ways.”

O2X Human Performance has successfully trained thousands of first responders and collaborated with hundreds of public safety agencies nationwide to provide state-of-the-art training and education aimed specifically at helping first responders finish their careers as strong as they started.

The seminar will be held from 8am to 4pm at 750 Miller Drive Southeast, Leesburg, VA.
