
Tyler Smith
Tyler Smith is an Onsite Human Performance Specialist and Doctor of Physical Therapy with extensive experience in tactical rehabilitation, injury prevention, and performance optimization. Prior to joining O2X, Tyler served as the Lead Physical Therapist for the Washington Air National Guard’s Human Performance Optimization Team at Camp Murray, where he worked alongside a multidisciplinary team to improve the physical readiness, resilience, and operational performance of military personnel.
Tyler earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from San Diego State University and his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Denver. His professional background includes travel physical therapy, sports rehabilitation, and wildland firefighting, including service on a hand crew in Northern California. His experience across both clinical and operational environments provides him with a unique understanding of the physical demands placed on military personnel and first responders.
Outside of his professional career, Tyler is an accomplished endurance and multisport athlete with experience in competitive ice hockey, wrestling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Ironman triathlons, ultramarathons, and HYROX. He is also the founder of TriumFit Challenge, a charitable fitness organization that combines physical challenges, historical education, and philanthropy to encourage individuals to push beyond their perceived limits while giving back to their communities.
