Tracy Daly, MS, RD/N, is an O2X Nutrition Specialist, Registered & Sports Dietitian, and holds a master’s degree in nutrition education from The Chicago Medical School. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Tracy completed her dietetics studies and dietetic internship there, setting her on a fulfilling career path that combines her passions for health and education. Tracy has been a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist for 26 years, working in a variety of settings, including collegiate health, corporate and tactical wellness, research, and fitness facilities. She discovered her passion for working with college students and athletes and has worked with a variety of active individuals for over 20 yeas. She currently serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Kinesiology Department at CSU San Marcos, the Nutrition Department at San Diego Mesa College, and the Public Health Program at National University. Tracy also supports the CSUSM Cougars as their Sports Dietitian and has provided expert nutrition support to athletes at San Diego State University, The University of San Diego, and UC San Diego. Her expertise spans sports nutrition, recovery, behavior modification, disordered eating/eating disorders/body image concerns, and gastrointestinal health. Tracy’s interest in nutrition sparked in college when she recognized how dietary changes could enhance health. Managing her own health challenges as an adult, she found balance through nutrition, Pilates, and mindfulness—a journey that deeply shapes her work today. An active member of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitian Association and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Sports and Human Performance group, Tracy also gives back to her community. Since 2007, she has volunteered with Rady Children’s Hospital’s canine therapy program and recently adopted Frank, her second therapy dog. Frank will also serve as a Facility Dog at CSU San Marcos, working with student Veterans, athletes, and participating in her Mindfulness classes and the Center for Contemplative Practices.
