
Rebecca Acabchuk
Dr. Becky Acabchuk is an O2X sleep specialist, neuroscientist and wellbeing expert. She's a research scientist at Brown University’s Mindfulness Center, studying how mind–body practices promote emotion regulation, stress management, sleep, resilience and concussion recovery. She is also a senior scientist at Hartford HealthCare.
A former Division I gymnast at Cornell University, Becky has created mindfulness programs for Division I football and hockey teams and co‑facilitated a retreat for Special Operations Forces spouses with The Station Foundation. She has taught neuroscience courses at several US universities and in India and Nepal through the Science for Monks Foundation.
Becky has been teaching yoga, meditation, breathwork, and yoga nidra since 2003 and is certified in Mindfulness‑Oriented Recovery Enhancement (MORE) and Sports Yoga by NESTA, with additional training in trauma‑sensitive practices, iRest, and yoga nidra.
Becky enjoys doing triathlons, backcountry skiing, hiking, anything outdoors, and leading workshops at yoga festivals. Becky was introduced to O2X by her partner, a firefighter who attended an O2X program.
