
Nick Tavoukjian
Nick Tavoukjian is an O2X On-Site Human Performance Specialist specializing in Injury Prevention as an Athletic Trainer with the Santa Ana Police Department. In this role, he supports the health, performance, and operational readiness of tactical professionals through a comprehensive continuum of care, including injury and illness prevention, acute care, rehabilitation, reconditioning, and performance training.
Nick brings extensive experience in post-conflict rehabilitation, having previously supported combat-wounded, injured, and ill U.S. Marines at Wounded Warrior Battalion-West at Camp Pendleton in their recovery journeys to return to duty or transition to civilian life. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Azusa Pacific University, teaching in both graduate athletic training and undergraduate kinesiology programs, and has worked as a non-profit executive focused on advancing rehabilitation and sports medicine initiatives in Armenia and surrounding regions. His international work includes coordinating trauma-informed care and rehabilitation efforts for war-wounded individuals, refugees, and children with disabilities, as well as contributing to health system strengthening initiatives.
Nick is a PhD candidate in Rehabilitation and Movement Science at Azusa Pacific University and holds a Master of Science in Athletic Training from the same institution, along with a Bachelor of Arts in International and Middle East Studies. He is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F), with a deep commitment to advancing rehabilitation science and improving outcomes for tactical and injured populations.
