
Matt Poland
Matt Poland is an O2X On-Site Human Performance Specialist, specializing in Nutrition. A Registered Dietitian and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS), he is passionate about helping athletes and tactical professionals reach their fullest potential. Matt leverages the latest scientific research along with motivational interviewing techniques to create individualized nutrition and training strategies that optimize performance and resilience.
Prior to joining O2X, Matt gained extensive experience across both clinical and athletic performance settings. He has worked in private practice with a focus on sports performance and eating disorders, as well as within multiple Division I athletics programs. Most recently, he served at The University of Kansas from 2022 to 2024, supporting a wide variety of athletes—including several Olympic qualifiers. His academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (2018) and a Master’s in Exercise Physiology with a concentration in Sports Nutrition from Florida State University (2021).
Originally from Maryland, Matt now resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Outside of work, he thrives in the mountains—spending his free time backpacking, trail running, mountain biking, and hiking with his wife and two dogs. With a love for personal growth and new challenges, he has recently taken up guitar and woodworking, reflecting the same curiosity and discipline he brings to his work in human performance.
