
Lisa Basarab
Lisa Basarab is an O2X On-Site Human Performance Specialist specializing in Injury Prevention as a Certified Athletic Trainer with D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services (DCFEMS). In this role, she focuses on optimizing human performance through a holistic approach, with an emphasis on biomechanical efficiency and balancing joint mobility with muscular strength to support long-term durability and performance.
Prior to joining O2X, Lisa’s career spanned tactical, performing arts, corporate, and clinical environments. She has worked with U.S. Naval Special Warfare operators, Cirque du Soleil performers, Broadway artists, and Division I athletes, specializing in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimization. Her work has taken her across the United States and internationally, allowing her to collaborate with a wide range of professionals across the human performance spectrum.
Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Central Florida and her Master’s degree in Health Studies from The University of Alabama, and she became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) in 2020. She brings a human-centered, evidence-based approach that blends clinical care, corrective exercise, and performance training. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her rescue dog Romeo, traveling, hiking, exploring new coffee shops, and tap dancing.
