Jimmy Schroeder
Jimmy Schroeder is an O2X Lead Instructor and retired Navy SEAL who served 20 years on active duty, completing 12 combat deployments. During a 2007 deployment, Jimmy sustained a close-range gunshot wound to his lower back that left him paralyzed for several months. Through faith, family support, and the strength of the SEAL community, he committed to intensive rehabilitation and wellness practices—ultimately overcoming permanent physical limitations to return to full duty and complete 10 additional combat deployments.
Jimmy retired from Naval Special Warfare Development Group in May 2022 and relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to be closer to his three daughters and the mountains he loves. He now works as an outdoor adventure guide with the Semper Fi & America’s Fund, helping injured and ill veterans heal through sport and shared experience.
Driven by a deep sense of purpose, Jimmy is passionate about the outdoors and dedicated to serving others. He continues to share his recovery journey to inspire resilience and raise awareness around the mental and physical challenges faced by individuals from all walks of life.
