
Henry Jones
Henry Jones is an O2X On-Site Human Performance Specialist with the City of Richmond and a Licensed Professional Counselor with a strong foundation in both clinical and performance psychology. In his role, he supports all City of Richmond employees, including Police and Fire personnel, by delivering group workshops focused on mental performance and resilience—tailored to the unique needs of each department. He also provides one-on-one coaching to help individuals apply these skills to their specific challenges.
While completing his graduate education, Henry interned as a sport psychology consultant for a Division III women’s basketball team and a local youth rowing club. He began his career at Dominion Hospital, supporting adults navigating complex mental health challenges through a partial hospitalization program. He later served as a Master Resilience Trainer – Performance Expert with Magellan Federal, working alongside U.S. Army soldiers to build resilience, enhance mental skills, and optimize performance in high-stress environments. Most recently, he worked in private practice at Bloom Health Centers, integrating clinical and performance psychology to help clients achieve personal and professional goals.
Henry holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Sport and Performance Psychology from Boston University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. In his free time, he enjoys playing disc golf with his dog, training for HYROX, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
