Danielle Demarest
Danielle Demarest is an O2X Nutrition Specialist. Danielle has been a Registered Dietitian for 8 years and is a Board-Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics. She is originally from South Carolina and attended Clemson University, earning her Bachelor and Master of Science in Food Science, Nutrition, and Dietetics. Go Tigers! Danielle has an extensive history in both collegiate athletics and tactical performance. She is a former NCAA Division I athlete, playing golf for Winthrop University, and has experience working with collegiate athletes at Clemson University. Danielle also served in the U.S. Army for 5 years as an active-duty Registered Dietitian, working with Service Members and Veterans across all branches, including U.S. Army Special Operations Command. Over the course of her career, Danielle has acquired a well-rounded foundation in dietetics. She has worked in critical care and outpatient nutrition, has acquired leadership experience supervising personnel and managing food services, and has worked with a variety of tactical populations, optimizing human performance. Danielle enjoys cooking with her husband for friends and family. Her favorite dishes to make include blackened salmon, smoked meatballs, and lots roasted of veggies! She is a military spouse of a Marine (Go Army!) and loves taking her two dogs, Basil and Pepper, for an exhausting run. Danielle has completed several half marathons across the country and enjoys hiking and snowshoeing in Colorado. In her downtime, she has also experimented with making her own homemade wine and mead. As an O2X teammate, Danielle is excited to engage with individuals and organizations to help simplify the complexities of nutrition across the spectrum of life!
