
Christine Ortega
Christine Ortega is an O2X On-Site Human Performance Specialist with Mountain View Fire and Rescue, where she serves as a Certified Athletic Trainer specializing in injury prevention, management, and recovery. In her role, she helps tactical professionals maintain peak performance, reduce injury risk, and recover effectively to ensure sustained operational readiness.
She brings both clinical and coaching experience, with two years of direct experience evaluating and rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries, as well as a decade of human fitness and performance coaching. Christine has worked across a wide range of environments, including the YMCA, Gold’s Gym, Orangetheory Fitness, and community recreation centers, developing a versatile skill set working with diverse populations. During her graduate training, she also gained extensive experience supporting Division I football, volleyball, and men’s basketball, as well as San Antonio FC, secondary school athletes, and the San Antonio Fire Department.
Christine earned her Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sports Science with a concentration in Pre-Rehabilitation Sciences and a minor in Psychology, followed by a Master of Science in Athletic Training from Texas State University. She continues to expand her expertise through certifications in NASM Personal Training, Barbell Rehab Method, Functional Dry Needling, and TRX Suspension Training, staying committed to evidence-based practice and empowering individuals to move and perform with purpose.
