
Christine Ortega
Christine Ortega is an O2X On-Site Human Performance Specialist with Mountain View Fire and Rescue, where she serves as a Certified Athletic Trainer specializing in injury prevention, management, and recovery. In her role, Christine helps tactical professionals maintain peak performance, reduce injury risk, and recover effectively to ensure operational readiness. While she brings two years of experience in evaluating and rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries, Christine also draws on a decade of human fitness and performance coaching. Her background in personal and group training across organizations such as the YMCA, Gold’s Gym, Orangetheory Fitness, and community recreation centers has made her adaptable and effective with diverse populations.
Christine earned her Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sports Science with a concentration in Pre-Rehabilitation Sciences and a minor in Psychology before advancing to a Master of Science in Athletic Training at Texas State University. During her graduate training, she gained valuable experience working with Division I football, volleyball, and men’s basketball, as well as the San Antonio FC, secondary school settings, and the San Antonio Fire Department. She continues to expand her expertise with certifications including NASM Personal Training, Barbell Rehab Method, Functional Dry Needling, and TRX Suspension Training.
Christine stays engaged with the latest research in physical performance to ensure she applies evidence-based strategies for every individual she works with, always striving to improve her practice and empower others to move with purpose.
