Anthony Blocker is an O2X On-Site Human Performance Specialist specializing in Strength and Conditioning with DCFEMS. With a focus on enhancing the physical readiness and performance of first responders, he employs evidence-based training methods tailored to the unique demands of the fire and emergency services. His role includes conducting assessments, designing individualized training programs, and providing ongoing support to ensure optimal performance and injury prevention.Prior to joining O2X, Anthony served with the US Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) Program as part of the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Liberty, NC. In this capacity, he played a vital role in developing and implementing the Unit Fitness Leader course and the Pregnancy and Postpartum training program. Additionally, Anthony collaborated with the US Army Parachute Team, where he successfully designed and executed their inaugural strength and conditioning program, further enhancing the team’s operational readiness. Before his tenure with the H2F Program, he worked at a private strength and conditioning facility in Richmond, VA, where he trained Chesterfield County Fire and Rescue personnel and athletes of various ages and skill levels.Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Science in Exercise Science with a focus on Human Performance from Liberty University. With years of experience in the field of strength and conditioning, he is dedicated to continuous professional development and applying the latest research to his training practices. Outside of his professional commitments, Anthony enjoys staying active and exploring outdoor activities.
