
Anthony Blocker
Anthony Blocker is an O2X On-Site Human Performance Specialist specializing in Strength and Conditioning with D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services (DCFEMS). He focuses on enhancing the physical readiness and performance of first responders through evidence-based training methods tailored to the unique demands of fire and emergency service work. His responsibilities include conducting assessments, designing individualized training programs, and providing ongoing support for performance optimization and injury prevention.
Prior to joining O2X, Anthony served in the U.S. Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) Program with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Liberty, NC. In this role, he helped develop and implement the Unit Fitness Leader course and the Pregnancy and Postpartum training program. He also collaborated with the U.S. Army Parachute Team, where he designed and executed their inaugural strength and conditioning program to enhance operational readiness. Earlier in his career, he worked at a private strength and conditioning facility in Richmond, VA, training Chesterfield County Fire and Rescue personnel as well as athletes across a wide range of ages and abilities.
Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Science in Exercise Science with a focus on Human Performance from Liberty University. He is committed to ongoing professional development and applying the latest research in strength and conditioning to his practice. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors.
