Massachusetts Army National Guard Partners with O2X Human Performance to Improve Resilience, Durability, and Prepare for the Army Combat Fitness Test

O2X Human Performance to provide physical and mental training for Massachusetts Army National Guard members

The Massachusetts Army National Guard has partnered with O2X Human Performance, a Boston-based training and education company founded by former Navy SEALs, to help better prepare soldiers for training, deployments and to prepare to take the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT).

This contract will provide soldiers with access to a series of drill weekend workshops from May through September 2020 covering nutrition, sleep science, stress, resilience, injury prevention, and conditioning – presented by a team of O2X’s elite specialists from all over the country. O2X Human Performance, a leader in elite military and municipality physical and mental training, will also be providing:

  • A full-time, on-site O2X Training Specialist, dedicated to this program
  • Individual injury assessment and body composition screenings
  • Personalized training programs and dietary recommendations
  • Access an online human performance resource database and member portal

“We are committed to fielding a fit and ready force,” said Maj. Gen. Gary Keefe, The Adjutant General, Massachusetts National Guard. “Working with O2X Human Performance provides our service members with training and resources to help them be ready to meet the needs of the commonwealth and the nation.”

For the first time in nearly 40 years, the traditional three-event test (formerly known as the Army Physical Fitness Test) has been modified to a new six-event fitness evaluation; which all members of the Army, National Guard, and Reserves will have to take and pass beginning in October 2020. Identified soldiers or those unlikely to pass the updated version of the ACFT, will begin working with O2X Human Performance who have designed training to specifically address the new ACFT physical assessment.

“We’re proud to partner with the Massachusetts Army National Guard to help get their members into peak mental and physical condition so they are prepared for anything that may arise as part of their role in the Army,” said Paul McCullough Co-Founder at O2X Human Performance. “We’ll be breaking down the different parts of the ACFT, providing comprehensive performance training, and soldiers can use the tools they learn with us to improve their health and wellbeing in the guard and in their civilian lives as well”.
