Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Learning to Fight Mental and Physical Stressors
O2X Human Performance to deliver workshop on performance optimization
Loudoun County, VA – From June 14th thru 16th, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office will host a three-day human performance workshop. The event will be led by O2X Human Performance, a training and education company that works primarily with tactical populations to optimize performance and increase career longevity.
Law enforcement officers and other first responders face extraordinary challenges daily, leading to compounding stress over a 20+ year career. During the workshop, LEOs will learn ways to manage the chronic stress that comes with a career in public safety. This training will help attendees mitigate the impact of mental strain that can lead to behavioral health issues, fatigue, and burnout.
“The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is focused on enhancing the mental and physical health of our staff, helping them at all levels to better serve our residents and provide the needed assistance to members of our community,’ said Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman.
Over the course of three days, participants will learn how small, incremental changes can lead to sustainable performance and lifestyle improvements. The topics covered include strategies to mitigate the risk of injury, tools to enhance performance under pressure and manage high stress jobs, and education on proper nutrition, sleep hygiene, and foundations of movement – all designed specifically to meet the unique training needs of law enforcement officers.
“We’re excited to bring our program back to Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office,” said Adam La Reau, Co-founder at O2X Human Performance. “When those serving in public safety step onto the job, they are signing up for a long and stressful career. It’s critical they learn techniques to manage that stress in healthy ways. We’re confident our curriculum will assist in enhancing the careers of those who bravely serve the Loudoun community.”
O2X Human Performance has successfully trained thousands of first responders and collaborated with hundreds of public safety agencies nationwide to provide state-of-the-art training and education aimed specifically at helping first responders finish their careers as strong as they started.
The workshop will be held from 8am to 4pm at 750 Miller Drive Southeast, Leesburg, VA.
