Herndon Police Department Learns to Fight Mental and Physical Stressors

O2X Human Performance to conduct workshop focused on career longevity and performance optimization

Herndon, VA – From March 20th-22nd, members of the Herndon Police Department will participate in a series of human performance workshops. The event will be led by O2X Human Performance, a training and education company that works primarily with tactical populations to optimize performance and increase career longevity.

Over 50 law enforcement personnel will participate in this event, with a special focus on mental durability and resilience.

Law enforcement officers and other first responders face extraordinary challenges daily, leading to compounding stress over a 20+ year career. During the workshop, participants will learn ways to manage the chronic stress that comes along with a career in public safety. This training will help attendees mitigate the impact of mental strain that can lead to behavioral health issues, fatigue, and burnout.

The quality and value of the training delivered by O2X is unmatched, focusing on a holistic approach to improving body and mind, one day at a time.  I experienced this first hand back in 2020, when I attended the full 5-day human performance workshop. From someone who has been an athlete all her life, and experienced the physical and emotional toll of the profession over 37 years, I can attest to the value of this training,” said Chief Maggie DeBoard, Herndon Police Department.

“I only wish I had received it earlier. There is nothing more important today than taking care of the health and wellness of our dedicated first responders.”

O2X Human Performance has successfully trained thousands of first responders and collaborated with hundreds of public safety agencies nationwide to provide state-of-the-art training and education aimed specifically at helping first responders finish their careers as strong as they started.

“We’re excited to kickstart our program with Herndon’s law enforcement professionals,” said Adam La Reau, Co-founder at O2X Human Performance. “When those serving in public safety step onto the job, they are signing up for a long and stressful career. It’s critical they learn techniques to manage that stress in healthy ways.”

The workshops take place at Herndon Police Department at 397 Herndon Pkwy #300, Herndon, VA.
