O2X Human Performance: 2025 Year in Review
2025 marked a ground-breaking year for O2X Human Performance, strengthening impact across tactical communities nationwide.

The World Leader in Human Performance
2025 marked a ground-breaking year for O2X Human Performance, strengthening impact across tactical communities nationwide. The O2X team delivered significant growth through the expansion of the Integrated Readiness Platform (IRP), launched innovative new technology products—including significant upgrades to O2X Connect—and executed hundreds of training & education engagements, resulting in a record number of tactical athletes trained annually.
Over the course of 2025, O2X trained 7650+ tactical athletes at in-person engagements across 500+ training days and expanded the Integrated Readiness Platform (IRP) to 60+ full-time human performance specialists embedded at 30+ agencies within the tactical population.
A Message From O2X Leadership
Looking back on the year, O2X founders Gabriel Gomez, Adam La Reau, and Paul McCullough expressed pride in the team's accomplishments - reflecting on O2X’s commitment to delivering world-class support to the tactical communities:
“What truly sets O2X apart is the people behind the mission. Our team continues to grow and like every year, the bar rises to join and work at O2X. In 2025 we welcomed new specialists, educators, and staff whose expertise and passion strengthened every corner of our organization. Their work in the field, on the podium, virtually, and behind the scenes has helped our partners improve readiness, resilience, and long-term performance outcomes.
This year reinforced a core belief we've held since the founding of O2X: excellence is never a finished product. It is a relentless pursuit, driven by innovation, integrity, and a deep responsibility to those who rely on us. As we move into 2026 and beyond, we remain focused on raising the standard of human performance, expanding our reach, evolving our capabilities to meet the changing needs of tactical and high-performance communities and driving efficiencies throughout our organization.”

The Integrated Readiness Platform: A Comprehensive Approach
One of the largest areas of growth in 2025 came within the Integrated Readiness Platform network. The O2X Integrated Readiness Platform (IRP) represents a one-of-a-kind, science-backed approach to optimizing an organization's most valuable resource: its people. Rather than advocating for broad, unsustainable changes, the IRP focuses on personalized and organizational needs, supporting incremental improvements that drive significant long-term results.
The platform rests on three foundational pillars. O2X Training & Education™ delivers customized engagements using the O2X EAT SWEAT THRIVE® approach to enhance resilience and performance. O2X Connect™ to provide a full spectrum tech resource including the Tactical Performance App, Performance Coaching Platform, extensive Content Library, and Program Impact Reporting. Lastly, the backbone of the program, O2X Integrated Specialists™ - world-class experts in sports science, psychology, nutrition, strength & conditioning, sleep optimization, and mental performance integrated directly into partner organizations.
In 2025, new Integrated Readiness Platforms spanned across California, Virginia, Florida, Colorado, Washington, Texas, and North Carolina. Notable additions included the San Francisco (CA) Police Department, Air National Guard, a variety of law enforcement agencies across Southern California, and Pueblo (CO) Police Department.

Regional Expansion of the IRP and Impact
The West Coast IRP network experienced remarkable growth in 2025, adding eight new Integrated Readiness Platforms across California, Washington, Colorado, and Texas. Several initiatives within these programs demonstrated the power of collaborative, cross-departmental work. At Pueblo Police Department, rapid program expansion validated O2X's value proposition - what began with a single Integrated Specialist grew to three within months as the department recognized immediate benefits. The San Francisco Police Department also developed a groundbreaking Pre/Postpartum Initiative with support from Integrated Specialists and the O2X Education Team, addressing a critical need for female law enforcement officers.
Field engagement proved essential to building trust and expanding reach. O2X Specialists with Huntington Beach Police Department attended a multi-agency K9 training event and participated in foot patrol with officers while specialists with San Francisco Police Department assumed responsibilities at the recruit academy. Strategic program development showcased O2X's ability to scale training capabilities through technology adoption. Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office began utilizing O2X services mid-year, including O2X Connect and Train the Trainer courses, equipping academy training officers with tools for science-backed physical training.
East Coast expansion brought four new Integrated Readiness Platforms spanning North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida. The year featured several high-visibility events that strengthened organizational partnerships. U.S. Navy’s Helicopter Sea Combat Wing Atlantic (HSCWL) hosted the inaugural Best Rescue Swimmer Competition, bringing together twenty-two teams from five squadrons for events including jump-swim-run, triage scenarios, load-carriage medleys, and a powerlifting/run challenge. The winning team posted an impressive 955-pound deadlift total and 4:54 mile, earning Sig Sauer pistols for their performance. Sailors attached to HSCWL benefit from a full spectrum program - providing access to a full-time Strength & Conditioning Coach, Physical Therapist, and Mental Performance Specialist - all of whom assisted in preparation for the competition. In addition, Baltimore County Integrated Specialists supported two Under Armour headquarters PT events for Fire and Police, uniting over one hundred police recruits and seventy Fire & EMT recruits from Baltimore County and Baltimore City.
Mental Performance support expanded significantly across multiple IRPs, with specialists at Arlington County (VA) Police Department, U.S. Navy’s HSCWL (VA), Palm Beach (FL) Sheriff's Office, Baltimore County (MD) Fire, U.S. Secret Service, City of Richmond (VA), and City of West Palm Beach (FL) delivering one-on-one coaching, leadership courses, cognitive readiness integration, and mental performance plans. Leadership development emerged as a core deliverable, highlighted by the Leadership Development series at Arlington County Police and leadership-focused curriculum at the US Secret Service and HSCWL, reinforcing emotional intelligence, decision-making, and self-awareness across officers and academy cohorts.
Academy graduation outcomes provided compelling evidence of program effectiveness. The DEA Training Academy BAT classes continued near-perfect passing rates for fitness standards, with retake candidates consistently showing significant improvements in test scores. Multiple fire and police academies—including Howard County Fire Rescue, Baltimore County Fire, Arlington County Fire, and West Palm Beach Fire—graduated with zero PT-related dismissals. Collaborative efforts across IRP teams, supported by Training & Education and Human Performance Integration teams, also produced new training resources, educational content, and conference presentations.

Technological Evolution: O2X Connect™ Advances
The year brought major focus to elevating every component of the O2X Connect™ system. Significant progress strengthened the platform's foundation, expanded performance insights, and enhanced the experience for leaders, coaches, and athletes alike.
Infrastructure modernization included migrating the entire codebase to AWS Kubernetes, rewriting the backend in Python using FastAPI, adding comprehensive monitoring with Grafana, and building a unified data lake to centralize insights. Individual readiness dashboards were also created for every client using AWS QuickSight.
Product improvements included redesigned SWEAT workouts supporting results tracking, a refreshed mobile app home screen, an AI Meal Plan Generator, updated branding alignment, push notification capabilities, and consolidation of coaches' and athletes' web portals into one unified platform.

Training & Education Excellence
The O2X Training & Education Team completed hundreds of engagements across 500+ training days in 2025 - supporting numerous high-profile events with the Dallas Cowboys, U.S. Figure Skating, REP Fitness, United States Merchant Marine Academy, and NAVWAR.
Partnerships with multiple non-profit organizations allowed O2X to further reach populations across the tactical community. A new partnership with The Faith Fight Finish Foundation (FFF) provided multiple training & education engagements in Texas, delivering multi-day workshops to Arlington Police Department. Additional funding from FFF also kick started a new Integrated Readiness Platform at Tarrant County (TX) Sheriff’s Office - supporting officer wellness through the implementation of an O2X Strength & Conditioning Specialist.
O2X’s partnership with Building Homes for Heroes continued in a shared commitment to first responder health and wellness. Through this collaboration, Building Homes for Heroes supported a handful of O2X engagements in 2025 with agencies across the nation, including Corpus Christi Fire Department, Huntington Beach Police Department, Phoenix Police Department, San Diego Fire-Rescue, Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, Spokane Fire Department, and Vermont Criminal Justice Council, among others. From Lavernia, Texas to Mountain View Fire Rescue, and from Jefferson County Open Space to the Salinas and Pueblo Police Departments, this partnership has brought critical human performance training to the men and women who serve on the front lines.
Across all O2X engagements, customer satisfaction metrics demonstrated exceptional performance. O2X achieved an American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) score of 94.2 out of 100, compared to the national average of 73.6 and surpassing major brands like Apple (81), Amazon (83), and Google (75). The Net Promoter Score reached 81.1 against a national average of 32, exceeding Amazon (+73), Starbucks (+77), and Apple (+61).
Looking Forward
As O2X moves into 2026, the organization continues its commitment to one percent daily improvements, expanding reach while maintaining a high level of excellence. With strengthened technology, growing specialist networks, and proven results across tactical communities nationwide, O2X remains dedicated to optimizing readiness, resilience, and long-term performance outcomes for those who serve.
