U.S. Army Special Operations Veteran and West Point/ MIT Sloan Grad Joins Forces with O2X

SCITUATE, Massachusetts, January 4, 2021 — O2X Human Performance announced today that Pete Casterline would be leading the team as the new Chief Operating Officer.  Pete’s impressive climb to leadership, from West Point, to the U.S. Army’s Special Mission Unit, to MIT, and then to the preeminent worldwide management consulting firm, McKinsey & Company, solidified the decision that he was the right leader to join O2X, as it continues to grow and deliver impact to the tactical space.

Pete is a former Army Major with 14 years of experience in Infantry and Special Operations units. After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2002 and the US Army Ranger School in 2003, Pete served with the 101st Airborne during the invasion of Iraq. Following two subsequent tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, he took on a recovery leader role in the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command where he led teams charged with identifying and recovering our lost heroes’ remains in austere locations across Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands. After JPAC, Pete assessed for and was selected to serve in the Army’s Special Mission Unit, where he conducted numerous worldwide contingency operations.

After leaving the military in 2014, Pete attended the MIT Sloan School of Management and earned a Master of Business Administration. After Sloan, he worked as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company, advising senior management teams on strategy and operations. During his time at McKinsey, Pete worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies to create and implement large scale transformations, operational excellence programs, and cultural change.

“We’re excited to have Pete join the O2X team. Pete has an incredible background in the U.S. Army as a top level Special Operations officer, an MBA from a prestigious university, and valuable experience in business consulting.  He understands the needs and demands of the tactical space, and we look forward to our continued growth under his leadership,” says Adam La Reau, O2X Co-founder.

Pete is eager to join O2X in this role and to pursue his passion for human performance and operational excellence. “I’m incredibly excited to work with the amazing team at O2X. Since its inception, O2X has built an unparalleled product that improves the readiness and resilience of our heroes, and I’m thrilled and honored to become part of this incredible team,” Pete says. “I will bring my passion for operational excellence to O2X as we continue to deliver world-class human performance training and education to our partners.”
